Technical documentation
1.
The luminous output stated up
until now is the catalogue from the T5 fluorescent lamps will be reduced by
10-14%. This luminous output does not
represent the light source’s maximum value and will therefore be called the
design lumen.
2.
The degree of efficiency for
luminaires will increase with an equivalent figure, 10-14% (in practice
between 0-14% depending on the ballast used at the time of measuring and
depending on whether the luminaire manufacturer had previously reduced his
luminaires degree of efficiency).
3.
The luminous efficacy of the T5
fluorescent lamp will not be documented in another way as this was based on
the fluorescent lamp’s maximum luminous output.
4.
The new design lumen and design
efficiency - values will be introduces into our lighting calculation Easyplan
to coincide with introduction of this catalogue.
Technical data for the different T5
fluorescent lamps
(Light source manufacturers have furnished company
specific data)
For information documented below is a comparison between
the T5 fluorescent lamp’s maximum luminous output at 35°C (will not normally
be documented in the future) and the luminous output that applies at 25°C
under the condition that the fluorescent lamp is powered with a reference
ballast.

luminaire
The diagram show
how the different factors in the luminaire design can affect the luminaire’s
electrical efficiency in percent.
